Select map push pin colors

We are working on some great features.  Due to all the requests about changing the marker colors, we added a feature to do just that.  If you have a group selected, you can choose the marker colors you want for it.  There are up to 10 marker colors for regular maps and 20 for advanced.

We also added video tutorials on both map pages.  This should make it easier for you to understand how easy mapping is.

Happy 2016

Happy New Year!  The previous year was a great year since we fixed some bugs and added some great features.

Despite our silence, we aren’t going anywhere.  We hope to add more great features in 2016 including:

  • Selectable marker colors
  • password protected maps
  • automated map updates
  • high resolution map printing
  • zip code code boundaries
  • multi point routing and route optimization
  • More video tutorials.

Map printing and save your map as a pdf file

With another great feature request comes another feature.  We added support for printing your map and saving it to pdf.  With clustering this only works nicely with Safari and Chrome.  To save your map in pdf go to the print menu (on your web browser) and save it to pdf instead of printing it.

In the longer term we have already started working on saving the map to an image or a pdf file with a mouse click or two.

More Features and improved map making videos

We got Albert to make some new videos for us with much better audio quality.  Thank you Albert!  The videos include the following:

  1. Making a basic map  (watch video)
  2. Making a map with more than 500 markers (watch video)
  3. Making an advanced map with custom pins, filtering, data exporting, distance filtering, and a custom logo (watch video).

A couple of features that were added are:

  1. Ability to move a single marker or all the markers that are at the same location.  This can be turned on/off at a whim.
  2. Now select the color for clustering when you add your own markers.

More great features

We finally released some more features that were asked for including:

  1. Upload custom images : use your own pins
  2. Upload a custom logo : upload a logo to replace the default EasyMapMaker.com log
  3. multi-select filters : filter data on a map similar to excel
  4. Up to 20 different marker colors (for advanced maps).

There were also some minor bugs that were fixed.  In addition, there is a new option that allows the zoom to be limited.  The default for the search box was also slightly changed.

Happy New Year

Welcome to 2015.  We are excited about some great features we plan to roll out in 2015 including custom images, more samples, video tutorials, exporting the map to pdf and image, and the list goes on.  We rolled out some great features in 2014 and added a couple basic tools.

One of ours goals is to make mapping as easy as possible for some great custom maps.

We appreciate all the feedback that was provided.  Also a big kudos to one user who found a lot of bugs!
